Glare Named As Cause Of Fatal Two-car Crash

December 28, 2005

A Corona woman claims that glare was the cause of her driving her car over a road divider and crashing into an oncoming car, killing its driver.

According to authorities, the woman says the sun's glare blinded her temporarily.

Alejandro Sagal, 19, of Garden Grove was killed in the accident on Friday at 7:05 p.m.

He was headed eastbound in his Ford Mustang on Memory Lane when it collided with the Toyota Camry driven by Ignacia Ruiz.

Ruiz did not sustain any injuries. Three passengers in the Mustang suffered minor injuries.
