At least five people were injured after a Metrolink commuter train crashed into a tractor-trailer just before 8 p.m., officials said.
Four of the injured were passengers on the train. They were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries, said a Metrolink spokesperson.
No information was available regarding the condition of the truck driver.
The train was en route from Lancaster to downtown Los Angeles' Union Station. Authorities are still trying to determine if the guard rail was down in Glendale when the train smashed into the tractor-trailer.
No additional details were immediately available.
The accident is the second accident this year involving a train in Glendale.
A Jeep was struck by a crossing Metrolink train in January, causing the train to derail. The train then hit an oncoming train and caused the death of 11 people and injured almost 200 others.
The accident was deliberately caused by the Jeep's owner, Juan Manuel Alvarez, 26, leaving his car abandoned on the tracks.
