Truck Rolls Off Highway 1

Helicopters flew a man to a San Jose hospital after his pickup rolled off of Highway 1 south of Carmel Highlands on Saturday afternoon.

The accident took place around 2:30 in the afternoon just south of Van Ness Way.

Rescue crews stopped traffic and made way for the helicopter to land. According to CHP, the driver lost an arm in the accident.

The name of the man has not been released by the CHP.
