Second Crossing Guard Injured In Two Days

A crossing guard was seriously injured Thursday, March 2, in Glendale while on duty near an elementary school, the second such incident in the area in two days.

This injury occurred about 7:10 a.m. in the 2000 block of East Glenoaks Boulevard, near Glenoaks Elementary School, Glendale police Sergeant Tom Lorenz said.

The man was taken to a hospital with a head injury and injuries to both legs, Lorenz said.

The 17-year-old boy who was driving the car hit the crossing guard.

A crossing guard in Norwalk was seriously injured Wednesday by a hit-and-run motorist who remained at large Thursday.
